“It is easy to be good to the others if…”: business breakfast of charity organization SOS Children’s Village
- Date: 29.09.2017
Yesterday, Capital Legal Services and the major charity organization SOS Children’s Villages helping orphans and children in difficult family situations held a business breakfast “It is easy to be good to the others if…” The business breakfast was organized for the second time and appears to be a good tradition. Irina Onikienko, Partner of the firm, once again was co-organizer and moderator of the event.
Since the time it was established, the organization has found a great number of concerned partner friends, including our firm’s lawyers, who have been supporting Children's Villages for many years. Among the perpetual friends of the Villages are also such companies as Sberbank, IKEA, Procter & Gamble, Fazer, SAP, Skoda, Belmond Grand Hotel Europe and the Arshavin family.
To a certain extent, the annual business breakfast becomes a review of the year’s results, where friends and partners of the Villages speak about effective examples of collaboration and share ideas of future projects. The variety of ideas for children of the Villages is impressive: building of a greenhouse and cultivation of eco-products, educational voyage on a sailboat, a New Year costume party, meetings with celebrities within the project, school of theater arts, etc.
Despite the difficult financial situation, all participants of the meeting confirmed that they are not only ready to continue support of Children's Villages, but will also involve their partners for this activity.
The truth of the mission statement of the Children’s Villages, “It’s easy to be good to the others if you are supported,” is proven once again.
Irina Onikienko says, “Friends and partners of Children's Villages are unique, very special people. They help very much in different ways, enjoy what they do, get enthusiastic with new ideas and thus inspire each other. I am happy that our company is among them.”
