Victor Kaluzhski, Head of the CLS Intellectual Property group, spoke at the Privacy Marathon event organized by HeadHunter. The event brought together experts to discuss topical issues in the field of data protection and technology.
As part of the section “AI Relay. (Ir)responsible AI development, model training,” Victor Kaluzhski highlighted the topic “AI and business: legal risks and ways to minimize them.”
During the presentation, the key legal risks faced by Russian businesses when using artificial intelligence-based solutions were examined. Using case examples from foreign practice, Victor modeled possible demands and claims that could be made against a business in case of incorrect use of AI and the results of its work, as well as offered practical recommendations for reducing the legal risks.
“During the event, we managed to delve deeper into the current trends in the field of personal data – this topic became central at the conference. An essential part of the program was made up of presentations by in-house lawyers from such large teams as Avito, Yandex, Sber and others, who in practice build processes for working with personal data and actively implement AI-based solutions. It was especially valuable to see real-world scenarios of how AI is used in business.
“Such events allow us to better understand the way industry lives today, what issues corporate lawyers face and how our expertise can be useful to them. I would also like to mention the high level of organization and live networking. I hope that in the future we will have the opportunity to continue working with HeadHunter in similar projects that unite the business community around topics that are important for development,” said Victor Kaluzhski.
The event was attended by representatives of leading Russian companies from various business sectors – Sber, WB&Rus, Rambler&Co, Avito, UniRus, Tochka Bank, Lamoda, Yandex and others.
