Alexander Rostovsky is Senior Associate at Capital Legal Services.
Alexander has many years of experience working at Russian and foreign legal and auditing firms, including the Big Four.
Prior to joining Capital Legal Services, Alexander provided support for major investment and M&A transactions at Castren & Snellman, a Finnish law firm.
Alexander advises foreign and Russian clients on all issues related to attracting investments, acquiring and selling assets, corporate restructuring, compliance with antitrust requirements and industry-specific legislation.

- Advising a meat producer, a leader in the industry in the Nordic countries and Russia, on reorganization in the form of spinning off a fast food business;
- Comprehensive legal support of a transaction to attract financing from a foreign direct investment fund by a Russian company being a key player on the market of outsourcing contact centers;
- Comprehensive legal support of a transaction on sale by a foreign manufacturer and supplier of metal structures of its business in Russia;
- Advising the Government of Finland on all matters related to acquisition of the House of Finland, located in the center of St. Petersburg, from the Government of the Russian Federation, including negotiating with federal and local government bodies, drafting an intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Finland;
- Support of a transaction involving a direct investment fund in connection with its exit from a portfolio company;
- Comprehensive legal support of a transaction to attract financing from a foreign direct investment fund by a Russian pharmaceutical company;
- Representing a Norwegian group of companies in a transaction to acquire a newly constructed hotel in Pulkovo;
- Representing an international company specializing in the service, design and installation of a wide range of engineering systems, in a transaction on commissioning into operation and management of a building of one of major high-tech business centers in St. Petersburg;
- Advising a major Finnish manufacturer of paints and varnishes on Russian land laws;
- Protecting the interests of an international company before the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service and commercial arbitration court in connection with the possible registration as an unfair supplier;
- Representing a foreign creditor in a bankruptcy case in connection with contesting a debtor’s transactions for the amount exceeding EUR 1.7 million.
- Advising a foreign museum on arrangement of a temporary exhibition in the Kremlin;
- Participation in a series of seminars on comparative law for employees of Microsoft, Amazon and other American IT companies (in Washington, Seattle and San Francisco).
