In early July, Pavel Karpunin, Partner at Capital Legal Services, visited Zimbabwe on an important business mission for the firm: Pavel and other delegates from Russia participated in negotiations and conferences dedicated to creation of a free economic zone for Russian business in Africa.

The free economic zone is intended to make it easier for Russian entrepreneurs to enter the African market. The idea dates back to 2018, when Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, during his business trip to South Africa, signed a relevant memorandum with the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Now, in 2023, preparations are in their final stage.
