Igor Gorokhov, Principal Associate of the Dispute Resolution practice at Capital Legal Services, was re-elected to the co-chair position of the Legal Committee of the St. Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA). This will be Igor’s third term as the co-chair of the Committee.

The Committee works on improving the legislative base in an effort to create favorable conditions for doing business in Russia’s North-West region. The Committee focuses on identifying problems companies in the North-West face in business and trade, as well as with tax laws, and on lobbying for solutions to these problems on behalf of SPIBA members, developing legislative initiatives and recommendations and assisting in building a constructive dialog between businesses, government and communities.

“Law is a dynamic sphere that has experienced many changes in recent years,” Igor Gorokhov says. “The Committee’s activities are aimed at collecting and systematizing the experience gained by participants, which we will be ready to share at our events."
