Head of the St. Petersburg PPP and Project Finance group of Capital Legal Services Julia Antipova took part in a meeting of the Economic Policy Committee at the Federation Council.

According to experts, today over four thousand PPP transactions are being implemented*, the majority of which are in form of concession agreements. The volume of the PPP market is over three trillion rubles in investments.

At the same time, the concession market is young and fragile, and requires careful tuning. Representatives on the expert community discussed obstacles and restrictions that currently get in the way of developing PPP in Russia, as well as the issue of protection and stimulus for capital investments to help grow the investment activity in Russia (the relevant draft law has already been filed in the State Duma and will be examined at the beginning of December 2019).
