On August 24, 2017, an informal event for the business community of St. Petersburg was held on the occasion of 100 years of Finnish independence. The event took place at the Helsinki Centre.
Guests of the event listened to representatives of Finnish companies working on the Russian market for a long time, as well those with Russian origins. Capital Legal Services was also invited to give a presentation, as the company is the only Russian law firm with an office in Finland and has extensive experience of doing business with Finnish companies.
This time, Irina Onikienko gave a nontraditional presentation. The subject of the presentation was “Why Russian lawyers (specifically, lawyers of the Northwestern Region) like Finland?” touching upon features of the way of thinking of the neighbors and their habits, which are sometimes so similar to activities and way of thinking of a lawyer.
Along with Irina, representatives of Fazer Group, Oy Sinebrychoff Ab (Carlsberg Group) and researcher, writer and jeweler Ulla Tilander-Godenhielm, spoke at this event.
