On November 10, 2016, a Dialogue network session on the topic of “Legal aspects of doing business with China” took place at the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
As part of the session, Senior Associate Pavel Kislovskiy, being an invited speaker, gave a presentation on issues of interest titled “Avoiding double taxation with China” and “Russian thin capitalization rules.” Pavel spoke about the main changes tied to the Double Tax Treaty between China and Russia taking effect in 2017, as well as certain aspects of applying the thin capitalization rules in Russia and the coming changes in tax regulation in this field. Pavel’s report drew great interest among the event participants.
