Legal support of a major Russian auto manufacturer in the development of its new brand

The client engaged CLS in connection with the need to register 8 trademarks of its new car brand, as well as on the issue of alienation of exclusive trademark rights in favor of its affiliated company for the consolidation of assets and further development of the new brand.

The CLS team evaluated the prospects for trademark registration, developed recommendations on the identified risks, prepared and organized the submission of applications for trademark registration to Rospatent and successfully registered all trademarks, despite the initially identified risks. In addition, CLS associates developed an agreement on alienation of trademark rights and registered the alienation with Rospatent, which guaranteed the client full control over the brand and legal certainty for further development.
