Successful protection of a client's trademark in a dispute with a bad faith copyright holder

Support in a project on challenging a trademark registered by a bad faith copyright holder in the interests of a company that is one of the top 10 distributors of air conditioning equipment in Russia.

CLS associates provided support to the client on issues related to early termination of the opponent's trademark. The scope of work included evaluating evidence for falsification, as well as proving affiliation between companies that potentially used the disputed trademark. CLS team’s work led to an amicable settlement of the dispute and the development of a settlement agreement that protects the client's interests. As a result of the project, the legal protection of the client's trademark was restored.
