Legal support for the project "The Great Ice Route: Transarctic Expedition Russia – North Pole – Canada".
Capital Legal Services provided legal support for the trans-Arctic expedition of Fyodor Konyukhov and Viktor Simonov in 2023.
In 2013, Capital Legal Services participated in the large-scale eco-social project "Fedor Konyukhov and Viktor Simonov's Arctic Expedition." For the first time in history, travelers on dog sleds specially prepared for the polar route covered a total of more than 10,000 km across Arctic ice.
We are pleased to announce that in 2023 our firm will continue to support the project under a new name – "The Great Ice Route: Transarctic Expedition Russia – North Pole – Canada." From March to July 2023, Fedor Konyukhov and Viktor Simonov plan to cross the Arctic by dog sled for the first time in history, traveling from Russia via the North Pole to Canada. The travelers' departure point is Cape Arktichesky, Komsomolets, Severnaya Zemlya Archipelago, Russian Federation. Termination point: Ward Hunt Island (Nunavut), Canada (crossing the North Pole). Food and essential supplies will be delivered along the route by air – three airlifts.
The project will receive extensive media coverage and will be supported by the Russian Geographical Society, the Government of the Republic of Karelia, and major Russian and foreign companies whose mission is connected with innovation, large-scale achievements, faith in the limitless potential of man, overcoming challenges, and an active eco-social stance.
This will certainly be a unique expedition, which everyone around the world will follow with interest and excitement on the website https://arctic.academy/giw
