CLS took 15 of the leading positions in the Best Legal Practices and Industries section, and five of our partners were ranked among the top professionals in the Individual Rankings.

Pravo-300 once again, in addition to its main rating of law firms, published a list of recommended lawyers. This year, 10 CLS lawyers were noted in the individual rating.

Effective January 1, 2025, Ekaterina Smolovaya, Head of the Tax Practice at CLS, became a Partner. Anna Persiantceva was appointed Head of the PPP and Project Finance practice.

The Pravo-300 rating is the largest research of the legal market in Russia, conducted since 2010. In 2024, CLS was recognized in a total of 18 categories, two more than in last year's ranking.

The Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper has published the results of the second large-scale annual study "Rating of lawyers and their companies." Seven CLS lawyers ranked high in the rating, confirming high professionalism of the team.

On July 15, 2024, within the framework of the Caucasus Investment Forum, the head of the Karachai-Cherkess Republic and the General Director of Airports of Regions Management Company signed a concession agreement on creation of the new Arkhyz airport. The agreement was signed in the presence of Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

On June 6, 2024, in the course of the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Governor of Omsk Region and the General Director of Airports of Regions Management Company signed a concession agreement on creation of the new Omsk-Fyodorovka airport in Omsk Region. The concessionaire Omskaeroinvest LLC (part of the Airports of Regions group) was determined by a resolution of the Russian Government.

The results of an independent prize rating in PPP infrastructure projects show that projects for which lawyers of Capital Legal Services provided support took lead positions in two categories. 

Last week, a two-day Russia – Africa summit was held to “strengthen comprehensive and equal cooperation” between Russia and African nations across all areas of society, including politics, security, economic relations, science and technology, as well as the cultural and humanitarian spheres.

In early July, Pavel Karpunin, Partner at Capital Legal Services, visited Zimbabwe on an important business mission for the firm: Pavel and other delegates from Russia participated in negotiations and conferences dedicated to creation of a free economic zone for Russian business in Africa.
