Elena Stepanova, Partner at CLS, elected to the Board of the Commercial Real Estate Market Association (ARKN)

Elena Stepanova, Partner of the CLS law firm, Head of the Real Estate and Construction practice, has been elected to the Board of the Commercial Real Estate Market Association (ARKN). The decision was made as a result of the annual general meeting of the Association’s members.

ARKN is a leading association of major players of the industry, created to represent interests of the professional community, develop joint projects and promote ESG approaches on the commercial real estate market. ARKN unites almost thirty major representatives of the sector, including Millhouse, O1 Properties, Stone, Space 1, А101, ENKA and other significant market players.

Elena Stepanova has for over 20 years specialized in providing legal support in the construction of shopping, warehouse, industrial and other facilities throughout Russia, structuring and support for deals, M&A projects, due diligence, as well as in consulting clients on issues related to land, real estate and construction.

For many years, Elena has held leading positions in national and international ratings. For six years in a row, Elena has been among top 10 lawyers in real estate in the CRE-100 rating of the most influential people in commercial real estate.

“I see my role on the Association’s Board as an opportunity to combine accumulated hands-on experience in legal practice together with market demands: to aid in developing understandable and practical solutions for the industry participants, to propose systemic changes in the law, which would decrease risks and increase transparency of the work, to build together with ARKN with the aim of further developing the commercial real estate market,” Elena notes.
